July has never just all started, but the climate is already sweltering. It’s crucial to stay hydrated during the summertime heatwave, but let’s face it—water can get uninteresting! While infused water is an excellent way of switching up the flavor profile without adding extra energy or sugar, we were looking for other hydration alternatives.
We decided to swing through Trader Joe’s to check out their choice of summertime drinks (examine: observed an excuse to peruse the air-conditioned aisles of one of our favorite grocers), and we discovered some quite delicious and clean beverages to keep hydrated. Many of these liquids could also be superb in a healthful summer cocktail (or mocktail). We had eight unanimous favorites out of the 15 drinks we attempted, and we think you’ll love them, too. Here are our alternatives.
Cold-Pressed Watermelon Juice
TJ’s bloodless-pressed watermelon juice is tremendously fresh and has a precise quantity of sweetness. This juice is made with watermelon and lemon juice, and it tastes like you stuck a straw within the fruit. One of our workforces also loves the usage of it in festive cocktails! This watermelon juice is an excellent supply of potassium, diet A, and diet C, making it a sweet deal. You can sense tremendous approximately ingesting on a hot summer’s day.
Organic Lemongrass Spearmint Herbal Flavored Water
This herbal water tastes like it might be served at a spa and makes it amusing to hydrate sans sugar. We didn’t count on experiencing it a lot, and even though it does flavor barely like our favorite minty gum, it’s a pleasing alternative of pace from simple antique tap water. Toss in some sliced cucumbers, and you may as nicely be on your way to getting a rubdown!
Organic Cold-Pressed Fruit Stand Juice Beverage
Good work, Trader Joe’s! We’re fans of all the flavors happening in this tasty bottle. This juice is unlike whatever we’ve attempted since it’s made with pineapple, cucumber, coconut water, jicama, lime, purple salt, and cayenne pepper. We realize it sounds ordinary, but you’ll agree with us on this one. This juice is relatively low in sugar in comparison to different brands. It has 15g within the entire bottle, and none is introduced. TJ’s Fruit Stand juice might be the best put-up exercise beverage, as it’s loaded with potassium and a little sodium to improve the electrolyte after a sweat session.
Blueberry & Pomegranate Green Tea
This drink became a real underdog that speedily became a fan favorite in the workplace. While some desire it to become slightly sweetened, this tea has the complex stability of candy-tart flavor and earthy, inexperienced tea, saving us looking more! Plus, one cup packs in 1/2 of your Vitamin C needs daily! Our body of workers concept, TJ’s Blueberry & Pomegranate Green Tea, would make a killer cockt, ah a few simple syr ups and your favored spirit.
Sparkling Watermelon Juice
Give. Us. All. The. Sparkling. Watermelon. Juice. While we already wrote a love letter to this TJ’s summer beverage—and shared a cocktail recipe using it—we thought it turned into worth bringing up again. While this glowing water-juice hybrid does flavor more like “liquid Pop Rocks” than actual watermelon, we are able to’t get enough. It’s also a terrific potassium source with 2g of fiber for health improvement.
Rhubarb & Strawberry Soda
This lovely little can taste quite farm-fresh if you ask us. We are massive lovers of the sweet strawberry and tart rhubarb balance, and the bubbles make it fizzy and mild. We can’t wait to do that on a cocktail with sparkling basil or mint ASAP.
Red Cold-Pressed Juice
Even the beet haters in our workforce had been pretty pleased with this beautifully colored drink. TThis bloodless-pressed juice packs 70 percent of your everyday nutrition A desires and is likewise a sneaky supply of protein—there are 4g in this juice bottle! The excessive earthiness of beets becomes mellowed out with the tart apple, ginger, and lemon—without losing an excessive amount of the beet taste.
